Meeting a day earlier than usual due to the general election on Tuesday, November 2, Edmonds city council is due to hold public hearings on November 1 on the following topics: the 2022 city budget, a proposed increase property taxes and / or the 1% emergency medical services levy in 2022, and the 2022-2027 capital plan and capital improvement program proposed.

The council is also expected to consider a proposal to change the city’s contract with South County Fire to address a long-term service imbalance that has led non-Edmonds fire units to respond to emergency medical services more frequently. and fire calls in the city.
