Global Inflation Leaves Users No Choice But To Look For Free Website Hosting / World of Digital Information

The economic turmoil around the world is a bitter reality that we all face. And the incident has left online users with little or no choice but to seek out free or cheaper website hosting services.

New data and statistics from a number of reports have highlighted how massively free web hosting has peaked. Plus, he’s actually at his highest level than we’ve seen in the last two years.

But the real question is how many of us are surprised by these numbers? Remember, global inflation is a global concern, and when you’re forced to deal with a high cost of living to try and fight economic decline, there’s not much anyone can do.

On average, data collected between May and June this year proved that search volume doubled in terms of free web hosting. At the same time, the number of users looking for free website builders has also increased dramatically.

The data can be confirmed after looking at the number of websites that have also been visited for website building and web hosting purposes. But what is a bit interesting is that the change can only be noticed now due to the current economic situation, but it was actually built for quite some time now. Think along the lines of several years.

The data that had been shared by Simiarweb reported how the popular website called GoDaddy managed to suffer a loss of nearly 20 million visits over the past two years. On the other hand, another cheaper web hosting service called Namecheap hit a pot of gold, gaining around 8 million hits.

So, as you can see, it’s a complete turnaround. But GoDaddy is not the only victim of this economic situation. Other common web hosting service providers also contributed to the massive decline seen in website visitors over the period from 2019 to 2022. This includes HostGator as well as Bluehost.

Hostinger has also managed to hit hard during this economic downturn with just over 6.2 million incremental website visits over the past three years.

Another interesting finding seen is how the cheap web hosts showed a huge downgrade compared to the free options. It makes more sense because when something is free, why would anyone be willing to pay extra during such a financial crisis where every move in the economy counts.
