Web hosting and cloud service provider HostPapa has expanded its line of business offerings with the acquisition of website monitoring service UptimeMate.
HostPapa has a large customer base, including many SMBs, who will now be able to benefit from the monitoring services offered by UptimeMate.
Launched in 2019 and based in the Netherlands, UptimeMate provides website monitoring software as a service directly to website owners who don’t necessarily have a technical level of knowledge.
UptimeMate also helps web administrators and agencies proactively monitor their sites, including identifying broken links, invalid SSL certificates, poor website performance (including speed and mobile compatibility), HTTPS errors, as well as downtime.
Website monitoring offer
The Canadian company HostPapa has been providing web hosting and cloud services to small businesses around the world since 2006.
“We are excited to add the UptimeMate technology stack to our growing list of solutions to help webmasters and agencies achieve the ultimate website performance experience for their small business or agency,” said Jamie Opalchuk, Founder and CEO of HostPapa.
“We will be offering UptimeMate as a stand-alone service allowing webmasters to monitor websites regardless of where they are hosted. We will also consolidate key UptimeMate functionality into our growing portfolio of managed services, including PapaCare +. We want webmasters to know at all times what is going on with the performance of their websites.
Peter Steenbergen, co-founder of UptimeMate, noted that the acquisition should bring a new wave of energy to the projects that HostPapa and UptimeMate are working on together.
“We are delighted to have found the right partner in HostPapa to take our product to the next level and ensure continuity for our customers,” added Frank Spin, co-founder of UptimeMate.
“We see a bright future for our technology under the HostPapa umbrella and would like to thank Jamie and the HostPapa team for this opportunity. “
