Newsweek Names KURU Footwear Among Fastest Growing Online Stores

Murray — KURU Footwear has been recognized in Newsweek’s Fastest Growing Online Stores report. The list was released last week and ranked as an “extremely high” growth company in the Fashion Accessories – Footwear category with well-known footwear brands such as New Balance and Vans.

Founded in 2009 by CEO Bret Rasmussen, KURU Footwear is a 100% direct-to-consumer company on a mission to eliminate foot pain. KURU’s niche is “stylish shoes for foot pain”, creating and selling orthopedic shoes that don’t look orthopedic. The secret sauce is our patent KURUSOLE, which provides superior arch support and enhances the user’s natural heel cushioning.

To compile the annual rankings, Newsweek partners with respected global data firm Statista to determine which 1,000 stores across 37 categories are the fastest growing online stores. Companies on the list must exceed one million annual website visits in the United States; $1 million in U.S. revenue; and have 50% or more traffic and sales in the US market. KURU has been rated as an “extremely high growth” company based on total sales, traffic, and a website quality assurance rating.

KURU Footwear CEO Bret Rasmussen said, “It is a great honor to be recognized, among other leaders in our industry, for the world-class customer experience our team delivers. We attribute our growth to creating a truly exceptional product that has helped millions of people relieve foot pain. Additionally, he says, “Our KURU GURUs excel at delighting our customers, while our e-commerce team is constantly optimizing our online store to make the buying process as seamless as possible.
