Q: Where do I go to apply as a voter?
A: To apply as a voter, you must go to the office of the city / municipality of Comelec where you reside. So if you work in Quezon City, but live in Hagonoy, Bulacan, you go to the Comelec office in Hagonoy to register as a voter.

Q: Where is the municipal / communal office of Comelec generally located?

A: The offices of the Office of the Election Officer of Comelec are usually located near the town hall / town hall.

Q: What days of the week can you go to the Comelec office to apply as a voter?

A: According to the updated schedule, candidates can come to the Comelec office from Monday to Thursday. Friday is disinfection day for Comelec’s field offices.

Q: Is there anything in the form that I should accomplish at the Comelec office?

A: YES! Affix your SIGNATURE and your THUMBPRINT at the Comelec office, ONLY in front of the Comelec manager.

Q: Are there any health protocols to follow to get to the Comelec office?

A: Yes, here are the health protocols that you must follow to get to the Comelec office:

  1. ALL candidates MUST wear a mask and face shield. You will be refused entry to the Comelec office if you do not comply with this health protocol.
  2. Bring your own ballpoint pen when you go to register as a voter.
  3. Before entering the Comelec office, be sure to step on the disinfection mat which is in front of the office.
  4. There is an alcohol and / or disinfectant dispenser in the Comelec office. Make sure to apply on your hands when you enter the office.
  5. Be sure to practice physical distancing when you are at the Comelec office.
  6. When you are finished and leave the Comelec office, be sure to apply alcohol and / or alcogel to your hands.

Q: Can I apply as a voter even if I am not yet 18?

A: Yes you can. As long as you are 18 on or before May 9, 2022.

Q: How long is a residency requirement for voters?

A: Candidates must reside in the Philippines for at least one year and in the city / municipality where he / she proposes to vote, and at least six months before the national and local elections on May 9, 2022. Take note, the calculation point is not the day you apply as a voter, but election day.
